  • Power Point on government- the Power Point en-tell a description of what government is, and with real pictures of what it looks like.

  • Smart board interactive remake of the graphics of government shown on the Power Point allowing students to come to the board to fill in the blanks.
  • Break students into groups to discuss: The purpose of the 3 branches of Government.
Personalization/Differentiation
Break students into 3 groups allowing each group to be a branch of Government.
Real-World Connection
Discussing the importance of their parents voting in November for who they think will best represent their needs.

Formatively. After each slide I will use quick assessments to get a sense of the pace of the students. Example: How many of you can tell me 1 branch of government, raise the number 1?
